Ads limit defines the number of available ads you can can post.

If you reach your limit of free ads and still need to post more, choose the Membership Package that suits your needs and budget.

You can compare the number of free listings to the number of listings available for different packages here right after choosing the category you’re interested in.

Step 1: Click on "Post Ad" button after login.

Step 2: Fill out all necessary detailed information about your items and click on the "Post Ad"button.

Step 3: Your advert will be shown on Acken Ads soon after the ad verification is complete.

Step 4: An email will be sent to notify you when your Ad is online.

Step 5: Get ready to deal with calls from buyers and be careful to have a safe transaction.

  1. Tips for your title: clearly show the name of your item and add some appealing words to introduce.
  2. A proper price is the key so please do your research before deciding your price.
  3. Keep your description informative and authentic.
  4. Unique and high-quality photos of your items taken by yourself.
  5. Never leave a wrong contact info. Get proactive to reply to the calls.
  6. The more info you fill out the more potential customers you will get.

After reading through all the item info, you will find contact info of the seller at the bottom or right side.

You can dial the sellers phone number by clicking on "Click to reveal phone number" .Ā 

You can also contact the seller by sending them an email message or chatting them up.

You can scroll down to the bottom of the advert and click on chat button to start a chat with a seller.

No, as we are not a shop. Acken Ads is a classified listing marketplace — here you can sell your stuff, buy goods from real people, find a job or services you need.

Any deal you make, you make with people. And we exist just to help you find each other.

  1. Add aĀ precise title for each advert.
  2. Make sure you add aĀ brief and clear description without any false information.
  3. Every advert should containĀ unique images taken by you without any contact information or watermarks.
  4. Make sure you choose anĀ appropriate category. Be attentive to selecting categories for jobs and CVs. Employers should choose 'Jobs" category for posting vacancies, while job seekers should choose 'Seeking Work CVs". If you mention the wrong category, we may reject your ad;
  5. The prices of your items must correspond to theĀ actual pricesĀ of similar products;
  6. IndicateĀ correct contact detailsĀ so that your potential customers can reach you easily. Try to respond to all the incoming calls or call back your customers once it's possible;
  7. All posted products and services must beĀ located in Nigeria;
  8. All items and products must beĀ legally permittedĀ (you can check the list of prohibited itemsĀ here);
  9. Publish all items for sale separately. There is a rule:Ā ā€œ1 ad = 1 itemā€;
  10. CreateĀ different adverts. If the ads are identical we consider them duplicates and may reject them.

Users shall comply with all applicable laws, theĀ Terms of Use, and all posted Platform rules and policies.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of goods and services promotion of which is prohibited on Acken Ads in Nigeria:

  1. Narcotics, steroids, and any drugs or medications that require a prescription from a licensed medical specialist
  2. Weapons
  3. Restricted military/police items
  4. Human organs
  5. Illegal/pirated copies
  6. Stolen property
  7. Code grabbing and lock picking devices
  8. Electronic equipment prohibited by the law
  9. Sexually-oriented services
  10. Loans, money transactions, Bitcoin
  11. Multi-level marketing, pyramid, and matrix programs
  12. Network marketing and ā€œHome Base Businessā€ jobs
  13. Products (goods or services) prohibited to sell by the law, in particular:
    • Food, processed food, water, soft drinks, spirit drinks, medical devices, drugs, drug products, cosmetics, chemicals, agrochemicals, pesticides, veterinary drugs, or other goods if they have not been registered with the National Agency for Food & Drug Administration and Control (the ā€œNAFDACā€) or other relevant authority of Nigeria;
    • Any goods, sale, distribution, or advertising of which is banned or restricted by the NAFDAC or any other relevant authority of Nigeria;
    • Any goods, sale, distribution or advertising of which is prohibited by applicable legislation of Nigeria;
    • Any goods that do not comply with standards and quality requirements imposed on such goods by applicable legislation of Nigeria;
    • Any goods that are represented on the label or described as a treatment, preventative, or cure for diseases, disorders, or abnormal physical states specified by applicable legislation of Nigeria.
  14. Trophies and wildlife specimens (including but not limited to ivory artifacts and pangolin parts) in relation to which trade is prohibited by applicable legislation.
